How to book, from first message to confirmation
Booking runs by form and email. You tell us a month, a party size and the nights you have; we reply with a draft that names every hotel; you change it until it fits; we check availability and confirm in writing before any payment.
Overview
The steps
- 01
Send the form
The five main fields are enough: what kind of trip, your name, email, month and party size.
- 02
Read the draft
We reply by email with a route, the hotels and room categories, and a price for the whole trip.
- 03
Adjust it
Change hotels, nights or room levels. Each version is priced again in full.
- 04
We check availability
With the hotels and any boat or flight on the route, for your exact dates.
- 05
Written confirmation
You receive the confirmed itinerary and the payment terms in writing before paying anything.
Step 1: what to put in the form
The form at the bottom of every page reaches the same place. The main part asks for the kind of trip, your name, your email, the month you plan to travel and the number travelling. The optional part lets you add the number of nights, the room level, what matters most to you and anything we should know.
Three details shorten the process more than any others:
- A hotel you already want, if there is one. The whole trip is built around it.
- Fixed dates or a flexible window. Hotels with few rooms, such as Nam Bo with seven suites, may be full on one date and free a few days later.
- How you arrive and leave. A flight into Can Tho, a Saigon hotel or an onward trip to Phu Quoc or Phnom Penh each change the first and last days.
Step 2 and 3: the draft and the changes
The draft arrives by email. It sets out the journey day by day, with each stay named, the room category, the nights, the drive times, the guide days and the boats, and a total price for the trip. If something about a hotel is uncertain, the draft says so. For example, we confirm the room types at the islet resort at Can Tho, formerly Azerai, and whether Mekong Lodge at Cai Be is operating, before they appear in a firm quote.
Change whatever you like. Common changes are an extra night at the hill lodge, a suite in place of an entry room, or a flight instead of the last drive. Each change comes back as a complete new price, not a list of supplements to add up.
Step 4 and 5: availability and confirmation
When the draft is final, we request the rooms, the boats and any flight for your dates. Small hotels answer quickly; the answer for a boat across the border can depend on the operator's schedule for that season. If something on the draft is not available, we tell you and suggest the nearest alternative, saying plainly whether it is a step down.
You then receive a written confirmation: the final itinerary, every hotel and room category, what is and is not included, and the payment terms. Nothing is payable before that document. If a message ever asks you to pay to an account not shown on your written confirmation, do not pay; send the form and ask us.
We never ask for card details by email. How to pay is set out on your written confirmation and nowhere else.
Before you travel
- Visa. Vietnam issues e-visas to all nationalities through the official portal, evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn; some nationalities are visa-exempt for shorter stays. Can Tho and Phu Quoc airports accept e-visa arrivals.
- Cambodia. If you leave by boat to Phnom Penh, check the visa rules for your passport well ahead; we send you what we know for your nationality.
- ID for boats. Fast boats to Phu Quoc ask for a passport or national ID at boarding.
- Health. Dengue peaks from June to October in southern Vietnam. Bring repellent and ask your doctor about anything else you need.
If you have not chosen a journey yet, start with the journeys or the comparison of stays. The pricing page explains how quotes are built.

Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
How far ahead should we book?
As early as your dates are fixed. Small hotels such as Nam Bo have only seven suites, and dates around Tet fill earlier than others.
Can we book only the hotels and not the car?
Our journeys come as a whole: hotel, car, boats and guide days. If you only need a hotel, booking it directly is simpler.
What happens if a hotel cancels or changes?
We tell you as soon as we know and offer the nearest alternative, saying whether it is a step down. You decide whether to accept it.
Do you take bookings by phone?
No. Everything runs through the form and email, so every detail is in writing.
